bababooey.com
March 27, 2008One of the oddest domains being searched for on trends lists lately is this one going to bababooey.com. The only thing on the page is a pic of a curly-haired football player dude in a typical pose, apparently named Gary and the pic is from 1979 (according to the file source). No idea where this got spread or why folks are looking for it, but strange nonetheless.
UPDATE: AHA, this is Gary Patrick Dell'Abate, known from Howard Stern land. His nickname is Baba Booey.
www.dokathy.com
March 27, 2008We're seeing the start of a new round of XOXO site domains hitting trends list, this one going to www.dokathy.com. As usual, this is a generic adult site wanting to take your money and give you naughty pics (if you are lucky). On the other hand, given the propensity of these XOXO sites we've seen over the months, it's likely just another scammer taking your money and leaving you naked. Heh.
mealstogether dot com
March 27, 2008Was watching Top Chef just now, expecting that we will see mealstogether dot com pop up in the trend lists soon as folks search for info on the block party.
prettygirlscarryingheavythings.com
March 26, 2008Colbert just mentioned prettygirlscarryingheavythings.com, which, as you can imagine, is just a parked site with no real content. You never can tell, I'm sure someone snagged it up within seconds of it first being mentioned. We've seen this previously with things like the Scrubs TheToddTime.com, which was the text of a shirt The Todd wore during an episode.
www.harley davidson.com/105thmuseum
March 24, 2008If you are bike enthusiast, or more accurated, a harley fan, you might be looking for www.harley davidson.com/105thmuseum today. We saw this domain come up in the trends lists today, it probably got a mention on news or talk programs (or both) today. Harley is celebrating its 105th anniversery. Check out the site for more info, and loads of Harley goodness for the Hog addict!
10freelevels.com
March 23, 2008You World of Warcraft fans might be searching for the domain 10freelevels.com, which offers you auto-leveling for your WoW character. If you insist on doing this, you really should keep in mind that this is absolutely against the WoW Terms of Service and could be breaking laws in various jurisdictions. Auto-Leveling (or power-leveling) is something which destroys the integrity of the game for very selfish reasons. Don't do it, just spend the time to do it right.
